“There is no regime in history – believe me, not Hitler, not the Nazis, not fascism – that has implemented what Israel is implementing against the Palestinians,” a Fatah spokesman alleged.

The Palestinian leadership’s anti-Israel and anti-Semitic rhetoric apparently knows no limits.

A spokesman for the Fatah political party alleged that “there is no regime in history – believe me, not Hitler, not the Nazis, not fascism – that has implemented what Israel is implementing against the Palestinians.”

Fatah is Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas’ political party.

Speaking on Palestinian TV last month, Fatah Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi further alleged that Israel’s goal is to “break the dignity” of the Arab world, “crush” it and “steal its resources.” Israel will turn to this task after it is “done with” the Palestinians, he said.

To reach these objectives, Israel is using the US as a tool, Al-Qawasmi claimed. Repeating classic anti-Semitic myths, seemingly taken from the infamous “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” he asserted that Israel “rules over the American decision-making and over the American Congress. It is the one that is pushing and planning the need to invade all of the Arab and Islamic states for the American administration.”

Israel “wants the Arab countries to be broken apart, poor, and involved in conflict with each other… It wants to completely unravel the Arab identity in order to guarantee its aspirations and realize its economic, military, and political superiority in the region,” Al-Qawasmi charged, according to a translation of his statements by Palestinian Media Watch.

‘Whoever Views Israel as a Friend is Completely Mistaken’

As for the prospects of a peace process with Israel, Al-Qawasmi declared that “whoever views Israel as a friend is completely mistaken. Israel wants to divide the Arab states and it does not exempt anyone.”

In another interview, Al-Qawasmi stated that Israel is worse than “Hitler, the Nazis, and fascism,” but hides this “racist apartheid regime against the Palestinians” “under the cloak of democracy” while claiming that it is “an oasis of democracy in the heart of the Arab dictatorships.”

Incidentally, some in the Arab world have come to recognize this fact. In contrast, Abbas, who was elected to a four-year term as president in 2005, recently began serving his 14th year. No subsequent elections have been held.

Indeed, a significant majority of Palestinians want Abbas to resign, polls indicate.

Turning his hatred toward the US, Al-Qawasmi said that Israel commits unfathomable evils with “with the aid of the US.” The Palestinians have recently begun to openly display their contempt for the US, especially since President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moved the American embassy there.
