“I am Zionist!” proclaims Kasa Bainesay-Harbor, Israel’s Deputy Consul General in Miami, who immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia.
“We never lost our heritage, we never lost our Judaism,” explains Kasa Bainesay-Harbor, an Israeli diplomat who represents the Jewish state in Miami, Florida and previously served as Deputy Ambassador to New Zealand.
Bainesay-Harbor grew up in a small village in Ethiopia, but was able to make aliyah with her family when the State of Israel launched its daring mission to bring thousands of Jews from the African nation home to the Holy Land.
Listen to this proud Zionist’s inspiring journey, from watching her grandfather in Ethiopia pray to return to Jerusalem to her ascent into the highest levels of the Israeli foreign service.
