Rioters tried to destroy a field in the Shiloh area, running over a Jewish farmer with a tractor during the attack.

Arab rioters destroyed an Israeli wheat field and assaulted a farmer who attempted to stop them, the Honenu legal rights organization reported.

According to the report, the rioters arrived on Sunday morning with tractors at a wheat field cultivated by Jewish farmers in the Shiloh area and began to destroy it.

An Israeli farmer who arrived at the site to prevent the damage was run over by one of the Arabs driving a tractor.

He was evacuated by first responders to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem in light condition.

The police received a report of “friction” between local residents and Palestinians during plowing work on the site.

According to a report, “a Palestinian-driven tractor has driven over the foot of a resident of the area.”

The tractor driver was detained for questioning.

Advocate Menashe Yado of the Honenu organization stated that “this is a violent takeover by Arabs of a wheat field cultivated by Jewish farmers in the Shiloh bloc.”

The Arab rioters destroyed a large area of the field, he added.

“This is an escalation in the Arab takeover of Jewish land, which is undoubtedly a direct result of the police and military’s laxity against the Arab riots,” he charged.

Honenu has issued urgent letters to the police demanding that it arrest the rioters and seize the tractors which were used in the act of vandalism.

Arab vandalism of Israeli-owned agricultural endeavors is a common occurrence, and Israeli vineyards and fields in Judea and Samaria have been repeatedly targeted by Arab sabotage, a constant battle for the control of the land.
