After winning Israel’s first medal at the Tokyo Olympics, Avishag Semberg was warmly greeted by none other than IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi.
Israelis were ecstatic after taekwando fighter Avishag Semberg won a bronze medal, scoring Israel’s first medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Not only is Semberg a top-rate taekwando fighter and Israel’s new role models, she is also one of Jewish state’s finest soldiers.
Upon returning to her base in the Home Front Command, Cpl. Semberg met with IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Aviv Kohavi, who congratulated the 19-year-old on her win.
