The mother of a mistakenly killed hostage Yotam Haim called the unit that killed her son and offered them words of support and love and that she bears no grudge for her son’s death.

The emotional interaction came as three hostages were mistakenly identified as Hamas terrorists which tragically prompted the IDF soldiers to open fire, killing them.

She blamed Hamas for putting them in this situation, saying “It’s not your fault” and stressed, “You need to protect yourselves at all times.” Her courage and bravery exemplify what it means to be a mother and an Israeli.
