Recently, Columbia University made the shocking decision to allow Professor Joseph Massad—known for his hateful, antisemitic rhetoric—to teach a course on Zionism.
Massad, who has a long history of demonizing Israel, outrageously praised Hamas’ brutal October 7 attack on innocent civilians, calling it “awesome” and “astounding.”
The October 7 massacre was one of the darkest days in modern history, with over 1,200 Israelis slaughtered—many raped, kidnapped, and burned alive.
Just one day later, Massad published an article describing the terrorists’ assault as “incredible” and lauding their violence as a victory. He shockingly referred to Hamas fighters paragliding into Israeli towns to commit atrocities as “the air force of the Palestinian resistance.”
By celebrating the slaughter of innocent people, Massad has disqualified himself from teaching any course, let alone one on Zionism—the very movement he openly despises.
Just when you thought @Columbia couldn’t be any more of an antisemitic, jihadist rot!

His long-standing record of anti-Israel rhetoric, including labeling Zionism as “colonialism” and denying the Jewish people’s right to self-determination, exposes his blatant bias. And now, he is set to teach a course on Zionism?
Columbia University must act immediately. Academic freedom cannot serve as a shield for spreading hatred, antisemitism, or glorifying violence.
Allowing Massad to teach this course legitimizes extremism, endangers Jewish students, and dishonors the victims of October 7.

Subject: Stop Joseph Massad from Teaching at Columbia
I am deeply outraged by Columbia University’s decision to allow Professor Joseph Massad—who praised the October 7 Hamas massacre—to teach a course on Zionism. Massad’s glorification of terror, calling the brutal attack “awesome” and “incredible,” is appalling and unacceptable.
This is not an isolated incident. For years, Massad has demonized Zionism, delegitimized the Jewish people’s right to self-determination, and fueled antisemitism. Allowing him to teach on Zionism not only dishonors the victims of October 7 but also creates a hostile environment for Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus.
Academic freedom does not mean providing a platform for hate or the glorification of violence. I urge you to cancel Joseph Massad’s course and take a clear stand against antisemitism.
Sincerely,
