The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a criminal complaint in India against an Israeli military reservist vacationing in the country, accusing the soldier of war crimes, crimes against humanity and acts of genocide over military operations in Gaza.
The August 2026 complaint is the second filed in India by the Brussels-based anti-Israel human rights group that targets those who served in Israel’s military. The latest filing does not identify the soldier publicly.
HRF alleges the reservist participated in the destruction of civilian property, homes and agricultural land in Abasan al-Saghira in the Khan Younis Governorate during March and April 2024.
The organization says it identifies Israeli soldiers and documents their activities through open-source intelligence, including photographs and videos posted by soldiers on social media and satellite imagery.
It uses those records to connect individual soldiers and military units to demolitions in Gaza.
HRF argues that the demolitions cited in its latest complaint occurred after operational control had been established rather than during active fighting.
The organization contends the actions violated the Geneva Conventions and Rome Statute and says India has authority and an obligation to investigate suspected violations under universal jurisdiction or the Geneva Conventions Act.
The group previously filed a complaint in June 2026 seeking the arrest of Israeli reservist Eitan Gilboa of the 271st Combat Engineering Battalion.

Indian authorities have not publicly confirmed that formal criminal investigations have been opened in response to either complaint.
The central government in New Delhi and local law enforcement agencies have also not issued formal statements on the cases.
