At the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a shocking display of antisemitism unfolded before tens of thousands of concertgoers and millions more online.
The Irish band Kneecap, given a global stage by Coachella, shamelessly shouted “F*** Israel” and spewed baseless accusations of genocide against the Jewish state.
Disturbingly, this was not an isolated incident. During their set, the band Green Day altered the lyrics of their iconic song “Jesus of Suburbia” to reference “the kids from Palestine,” injecting political commentary that many perceived as a biased, one-sided attack.

This hateful rhetoric was not a spontaneous outburst — it was a deliberate act, enabled by the festival organizers and AEG Worldwide. By allowing such inflammatory language to be broadcast from their platform, Coachella and AEG have failed their moral responsibility to oppose bigotry and protect their audiences from hate speech.
Antisemitism, whether veiled as political activism or shouted openly, is unacceptable. Yet Coachella remained silent as their stage was used to incite hatred. This silence is complicity.
We cannot allow entertainment giants to brush antisemitism under the rug.
Coachella and AEG must publicly denounce the hate that was spread at their event, issue a formal apology, and implement measures to prevent such disgraceful incidents from ever happening again.
The Jewish community, and all who stand against hate, deserve better. Our voices matter, and together, we can demand accountability.
