The University of California, Davis has made a shameful and dangerous choice: naming Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) its “Best Student-Run Club” for the second year in a row.
This reckless move is not just offensive—it’s a direct threat to Jewish students and a betrayal of the university’s legal and moral obligations.
SJP is not a harmless student club. It is a nationwide movement with documented ties to Hamas-linked networks through its umbrella organization, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP).

The U.S. Senate has publicly identified multiple individuals within AMP with direct or indirect ties to Hamas. After the horrific Hamas-led massacre on October 7, SJP chapters across the country—including UC Davis—held rallies justifying the attacks, calling them “resistance,” and denying the suffering of Israeli civilians.
What UC Davis now calls “student achievement” includes organizing campus encampments, chanting pro-terror slogans, and intimidating Jewish students.
These actions aren’t just offensive—they’re under federal investigation for violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. In other words, this isn’t just a campus debate. It’s a civil rights crisis.
By awarding SJP, UC Davis is rewarding hate and turning a blind eye to a group that incites violence and promotes antisemitic ideology. Jewish students deserve safety and respect—not to see terror apologists honored by their own university.
This cannot be ignored. If UC Davis is allowed to normalize antisemitism under the banner of activism, the consequences will reverberate far beyond one campus.
