“It is time for the international community to realize that its silence is a prize for terrorism,” said Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon is demanding that the U.N. Security Council condemn the latest rocket strikes from the Gaza Strip into Israel by the Islamic Jihad terror group.

“These rocket attacks from terrorist organizations threaten the lives of nine million civilians. Instead of calling on all parties to exercise restraint, we expect the UNSC to clearly and unequivocally condemn the terrorists responsible. It is time for the international community to realize that its silence is a prize for terrorism,” said Danon.

Massive barrages of hundreds of rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip since Tuesday morning, with Israelis running for cover in southern and central parts of the country and air raid sirens wailing in the Tel Aviv area and localities closer to Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Islamic Jihad leader Baha Abu Al Ata, who was killed by Israel in a targeted airstrike in the Gaza Strip early Tuesday morning, was a central terror figure, responsible for launching “hundreds of rockets” into Israel, and a “ticking time-bomb” whose plans to attack again made it necessary for Israel to take him out him first.

In the aftermath of this targeted, precision strike, Palestinian terrorists rained down hundreds of rockets on innocent Israeli civilian targets, shooting missiles indiscriminately at senior citizen homes, private houses, and even a toy factory.

Israelis are forced to run for bomb shelters, huddling together until the rockets either land or are destroyed by the Iron Dome system, terrifying young children and traumatizing all people within range of the projectiles.

Enough is enough! The U.N must not remain silent while Islamic Jihad and other terror groups hold Israeli citizens hostage. Now is the time to make your voice heard!

Urge the U.N. Security Council to condemn the Gaza terrorists behind the latest rocket assault.

1. Send U.N. Security Council President Karen Pierce a message via Twitter @KarenPierceUN demanding that the U.N. introduce a resolution condemning Palestinian rocket terror.
