In a deeply troubling move, the University of San Francisco (USF) has become the first Jesuit university in the United States to divest from defense companies tied to Israel, including Palantir, RTX, and L3Harris.
This act—spurred by pressure from anti-Israel student groups like Students for Justice in Palestine—is a clear capitulation to the discriminatory Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
*University of San Francisco* (USF) just gave in to protesters’ demands to divest from defense companies tied to Israel. Tell them this is a betrayal not only of Jewish students, but of their own Jesuit and American values. https://t.co/Soh2BucMPS pic.twitter.com/4W8nG0K3Mi

Let’s be clear: this is not a neutral financial decision. It is a public endorsement of a campaign that vilifies the only democracy in the Middle East and targets Jewish identity under the false guise of “justice.”
The BDS movement seeks to isolate and delegitimize Israel, while turning a blind eye to the atrocities committed by Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Iran-backed terror groups.
By yielding to this pressure, USF is abandoning not only its Jewish students but its Jesuit identity—which claims to uphold justice, leadership, and the dignity of all people.
We must speak out. We must demand that USF reverse its divisive, harmful decision. Stand for truth. Stand with Israel. Stand against antisemitism.
