African Lion Drill

The relationship between Israel and Morocco continues to flourish as the two nations demonstrate their military cooperation.

The Israel Defense Forces took part as observers in the ‘African Lion’ exercise, a significant US-led military drill that took place in Morocco and other African nations.

This is the first time that Israel has joined in this exercise since the Jewish state and Morocco normalized ties in 2020.

Dr. Mohamed Chtatou, political analyst and senior professor at the University of Rabat, discusses Israel’s participation in the military drill and whether this will lead to more peace deals in the region.
