Israel’s national carrier, El Al is due to introduce Starlink-powered in-flight Wi-Fi, the airline announced.
According to El Al, it has signed an agreement with Elon Musk’s satellite internet company to equip its fleet with high-speed internet service.
Rollout is expected to begin in 2027, with the airline planning to offer the service free of charge to passengers.
“Integrating Starlink technology into El Al aircraft is a significant step forward, allowing customers to stay connected in the air, enjoy live streaming, and continue to work and communicate seamlessly,” CEO Levi Halevi said.

That reduced distance allows for faster speeds and lower latency.
The system is designed to support hundreds of simultaneous connections per aircraft, including on long-haul flights, with enough bandwidth for streaming, video calls and remote work.
