La ONU aprobó seis nuevas resoluciones contra el Estado judío, incluida una que niega la soberanía israelí sobre Jerusalem. El resultado, contundente, 151-6.
La Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas en Nueva York aprobó el jueves seis resoluciones que reafirman los derechos de los palestinos y condenan las violaciones israelíes del derecho internacional, según informó Middle East Monitor .
Según una resolución «la Asamblea reiteró que cualquier acción de Israel, la Potencia ocupante, para imponer sus leyes, jurisdicción y administración en la Ciudad Santa de Jerusalem es ilegal y, por lo tanto, nula».
Esta resolución fue adoptada por 151 votos a favor y 6 en contra (Canadá, Estados Federados de Micronesia, Israel, Islas Marshall, Nauru, Estados Unidos), con 9 abstenciones (Australia, Camerún, República Centroafricana, Honduras, Panamá, Papua Nueva Guinea , Paraguay, Sudán del Sur, Togo), dijo el Monitor.
El delegado de Israel condenó las resoluciones, alegando que la ONU «continuó adoptando resoluciones sesgadas anualmente y dedicando recursos preciosos … a cuerpos politizados cuyo único propósito es atacar y denunciar a Israel». El representante de los Estados Unidos «se hizo eco de esta crítica».
