Cuando Khaled Kutina, un residente árabe de Jerusalem, se metió en su coche, lo hizo con la intención de asesinar a cuantos más judíos mejor. Unos minutos después mira por la ventana a dos jovenes y apunta a su objetivo: Shalom Cherki y Shira Klein están de pie en una parada de autobús y el terrorista no lo dudo y empotró su coche directamente en ellos. Shalom Cherki murió y Shira está pasando por la rehabilitación en un hospital.
