Israeli ‘Balloon Man’ Lifts the Spirits of Children Battling Cancer

With his balloons and loads of positive energy, Barak Dagan brings joy to child cancer patients.

When a young child is diagnosed with cancer, life changes for everyone involved.

Not least of all, maintaining a positive outlook in the face of such a challenge can nearly impossible, especially for the young patients who must fight for their lives.

Israeli Barak Dagan has made putting smiles on the faces of these brave children his top priority, working with the Ezer Mizion organization to brighten up hospitals and gladden the hearts of child cancer patients and their families.

By twisting his balloons, Dagan can put a smile on even the saddest face, as he uses his magical hands to turn balloons into giraffes, peacocks, fire engines, boats and so much more.

Israel’s Ezer Mizion organization provides love and support for the child cancer patients and the family. Both staff and volunteers work together to ease the emotional burden by facilitating birthday parties, trips, story hours, music clubs, and lego sessions.

Dagan knows how important a laugh and a smile are for children who are suffering so much during their uphill battle. That’swhy he made a life-size balloon motorcycle in Ezer Mizion’s lobby for all the children to take photos with.

Dagan is one of the many Ezer Mizion’s volunteers who strive to give the precious gift of happiness to children fighting cancer.
