The IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of several Hamas commanders in Gaza, including terrorists who took part in the October 7 massacre and were recently involved in efforts to attack Israeli forces.
The military said it eliminated Abd al-Rahman Maher Abd al-Karim Ziyada, a Hamas Nukhba squad commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and seized an IDF vehicle, taking it into Gaza.
In a separate strike in Khan Younis, the IDF eliminated Kamal Mohammed Hamdan Najar, Hamas’ tunnel unit chief in the area. According to the military, both terrorists had recently been involved in advancing attacks against Israeli troops and were eliminated after being identified as immediate threats.
The IDF and Shin Bet also announced that Mansour Sami Mahmoud Shahatout, commander of Hamas’ naval police in the central Gaza camps, was killed in a strike in central Gaza. Two additional Hamas naval police commanders were eliminated with him.
According to the military, the three were armed and traveling in a vehicle when they were targeted. The IDF said Hamas’ naval police operates under the terror group’s military wing and is involved in directing attacks against Israeli forces and the State of Israel.

On Friday, the IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of Walid Haniyeh, deputy commander of a Hamas Nukhba company and a nephew of former Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh.
The military said Haniyeh commanded a terrorist cell that infiltrated Israel on October 7 and personally took part in the invasion. He was also involved in directing terrorists during the kidnapping of Israeli civilians into Gaza.
In recent months, Haniyeh had attempted to recruit new terrorists for Hamas and led training programs for his Nukhba company, according to the IDF.
The military said Israeli forces remain deployed in Gaza in accordance with the current agreement and will continue acting to remove immediate threats.
