The IDF struck Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure across southern Lebanon after the terror group launched two explosive drones at Israeli troops overnight, the military said Monday.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah launched the drones at troops operating in the security zone around the Ali al-Taher Ridge. No Israeli troops were wounded in the attack.
The IDF said it responded immediately by striking several Hezbollah sites in multiple areas of southern Lebanon, including a weapons storage facility.
Israeli forces also targeted several Hezbollah terrorists who were spotted transporting weapons in the Kfar Roummane area, with the military saying the strike was carried out to eliminate an immediate threat to its troops.
The IDF said precautions were taken before the strikes to reduce the risk to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The military added that it was investigating reports that several civilians were wounded in the strikes.
Separately, the IDF said it struck the Nabatieh area following another Hezbollah explosive drone launch on Sunday, killing several members of the terror group.
The latest exchange comes amid continued tensions along the Israel-Lebanon front and repeated Hezbollah attempts to attack Israeli forces operating in the security zone.
