A new Israel-Japan defense agreement was signed in a festive ceremony at the Tokyo Defense Ministry this week.

The agreement was signed following discussion between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and after subsequent meetings between the head of Japan’s National Security Council and head of the Israeli NSC Meir Ben Shabbat.

Israel did not provide further details about the content of the agreement.
