The warnings come as Hezbollah prepares for the possibility of another confrontation with Israel and works to rebuild military capabilities damaged during previous rounds of fighting.

Israel has issued a series of warnings to Lebanon as the possibility of another round of fighting with Iran looms, according to a report Monday in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Modon.

The messages reportedly center on Hezbollah and what would happen if the Iran-backed terrorist group decides to enter a renewed conflict alongside Tehran.

Israel warned Beirut that such a move would trigger a major military response in Lebanon, with the IDF potentially expanding its ground operations well beyond the areas where it has operated until now.

Israel could also impose an air, land and sea blockade on Lebanon, Al-Modon reported, in an effort to pressure the Lebanese government over its failure to prevent Hezbollah from entering the war and fully disarm the group.

The reported warnings come as Hezbollah prepares for the possibility of another confrontation with Israel and works to rebuild military capabilities damaged during previous rounds of fighting.

Lebanese sources told Al-Modon that Hezbollah has been upgrading its drones, increasing their explosive payloads from roughly 2.5 kilograms to between four and six kilograms.

The group has also reportedly extended the range of fiber-optic cables used to control some drones from around 20 kilometers to more than 30 kilometers and is equipping them with TNT and C4, along with nails and metal balls intended to increase their lethality.

Hezbollah has also strengthened its presence in several strategically important areas of Lebanon and tightened security amid concerns that Israel could resume targeted strikes against senior operatives, according to the report.

The preparations come amid mounting concerns that renewed fighting between Israel and Iran could once again draw Hezbollah into a broader regional conflict.
