Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Orna Barbivai said that the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries is “tremendous.”

Israel will launch a commercial mission in Morocco in 2023, according to Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Orna Barbivai.
Barbivai said on Tuesday that the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries is “tremendous.”
The move comes as ties have grown stronger since Morocco signed the Abraham Accords normalization deal with Israel in the fall of 2020.
In June, Israeli Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked landed in Morocco where she met with a series of senior officials, including Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.
In a video from Morocco released on social media, Shaked also announced that she is working on a program to bring Moroccan workers to Israel, with an emphasis on the construction and nursing sectors.
In July, two Israelis visiting Morocco saved a performer’s life when his horse collapsed and almost crushed him.
“Everyone shouted, ‘He’s dead, he’s dead,” recalls an Israeli doctor visiting Morocco who helped save the life of the performer in question.
Dr. Rawad Mafraa and another Israeli who was also in Morocco as a tourist were watching a traditional folk performance, when one of the horses collapsed on a rider, crushing him.
The Israeli doctor wouldn’t give up until she saved the Moroccan performer’s life.
