Bennett, the first Israeli leader to visit the UAE, wrote the first letter of the first Torah scroll in the Emirates.

During his historic visit to the Emirates, the first ever by an Israeli prime minister, Naftali Bennett was invited by the the UAE Chief Rabbi Levi Duchman to write the first letter of the Torah scroll ever written in the country.

The Torah scroll will serve the local Jewish community and the many Jewish visitors who enjoy a variety of Jewish institutions and extensive community services led by Rabbi Duchman since 2015.

The UAE has warmly welcomed the local Jewish community established by Rabbi to the UAE.

Since his arrival in the Gulf state in 2015, Rabbi Duchman has established numerous places of worship, Kashrut facilities, Jewish education, business networking and rich community life.

Since the signing of the Abraham Accords, Rabbi Levi Duchman has received thousands of requests from Jews from all over the world for assistance and information on various matters regarding Jewish life in the Emirates.
