The peace agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is extending to the field of plastic surgery and for the first time, Israeli plastic surgeons were officially invited to attend Emirates Plastic Surgery Congress in Dubai, to be held in the last week of January 2021.

The plastic surgeons will visit Dubai as an official delegation of the Israeli Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

The three-day conference will focus on combining science and art in the field of plastic surgery and will deal with aesthetic reconstruction and breakthroughs in the field.

Along with surgeons from Israel, expert doctors from Iran will also participate in the conference for the first time.

The conference is an initiative of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society and is expected to be attended by thousands of other specialist doctors who will be watching live lectures from all over the world.

Plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments are performed in the UAE on a similar scale to that in Israel.

Data from the Israeli Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery show that about half a million medical aesthetic procedures are performed in Israel annually and about 70,000 Israelis undergo plastic surgery in the public and private system.
