Boy George has released a pro-Israel reggae-inspired song titled “We Will Dance Again,” also known by its Hebrew title Od Nirkod, expressing solidarity with Israel, rejecting accusations of genocide and reaffirming his support for the Jewish community.
The song, which incorporates AI production, takes its name from the slogan adopted by survivors of the Supernova Music Festival following the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks.
Its lyrics directly challenge criticism of Israel’s military campaign, declaring: “You say genocide, I say war / When you’re attacked, that’s what the army’s for.”
Elsewhere, the singer leaves little doubt about his position, stating: “But if you’re ever confused, I stand with the Jews.”
The reggae track also criticizes fellow musicians for acting like “sheep,” rejects describing the Gaza war as a “genocide,” and embraces “We Will Dance Again” as a message of remembrance and resilience connected to the Nova music festival massacre.
The release continues Boy George’s outspoken support for Israel, a position he has maintained despite criticism from many figures in the entertainment industry.

Responding to pressure from pro-Palestinian activists over his views, Boy George said: “I have many, many Jewish friends that I’ve had since I was 15 or 16 years old.
Are people asking me as a principled human being to turn my back on my Jewish friends? It’s not going to happen, it’s never going to happen.”
The singer has also publicly supported Israel in other high-profile settings. He met Israeli Eurovision entrant Noam Bettan to wish him good luck ahead of the competition and reiterated that he would not “turn his back” on his Jewish friends.
Boy George was also among more than 1,000 entertainment figures who signed an open letter supporting Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, adding his name to a campaign advocating for the country’s inclusion despite calls from some artists to exclude it.
