Pink Floyd front man and anti-Israel activist Roger Waters issued a scathing attack against Nick Cave who performed two concerts in Israel while denouncing BDS bullies.

Notorious anti-Israel activist Roger Waters has stepped up his criticism of Nick Cave, who performed twice this week in the Jewish state, despite calls from anti-Israel activities to boycott Israel.

Cave said during a press conference in Israel this week that he “decided to play in Israel to stand up to anyone who tries to censor and silence musicians.”

Prior to his concerts in Israel, BDS anti-Israel activists issued an open letter calling on Cave to cancel his concerts in Israel. “Please don’t take part in apartheid, boycott Israel!” they wrote.

Nonplussed by the pressure, Cave told reporters that by choosing to perform in Israel, “you have to go through public humiliation from Roger Waters and his partners.”

Quoting Cave’s lyric “Let us sit together in the dark until the moment comes,” Waters chided Cave, writing,  “the moment came and went brother, you missed it, if at some point in the future you want to climb out of the dark, all you have to do is open your eyes, we, in BDS will be here to welcome you into the light.”

Similarly, the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel called Cave’s shows a “propaganda gift” that helps “art-wash” Israeli policies toward Palestinians.

Waters is infamously anti-Israel, and some have called him an outright an anti-Semite. He regularly attacks the Jewish State and promotes anti-Israel actions.

Waters is a vociferous supporter of the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement. He has voiced support for the Hamas terror organization. He regularly exerts public pressure on performers slated to perform in Israel and demands that they refrain from doing so, claiming it will generate pressure on Israel’s “apartheid” and “criminal” government. In most cases he is ignored and fails in his mission.

Waters recently campaigned  to pressure Radiohead into canceling a concert in Israel. The effort failed. A partial list of top artists who performed in Israel last year includes Radiohead, the Pixies, Justin Bieber, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Rod Stewart, Tears for Fears, Grandaddy, Jose Gonzalez, Fatboy Slim, Jean-Michel Jarre, Paul Young, Vanessa Mae, Emir Kusturica and Ace of Base. Other top performers who have played in Israel in recent years include the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Alice Cooper, Rihanna, Sia and Elton John.
