Police Appeal for Help in Search for Missing Soldier

Police are searching for a lone soldier from the United States who has been missing since Sunday.

David Menachem Gordon, 21, was last seen at the Tzrifin military base in central Israel mid-day Sunday, dressed in his IDF uniform, including the purple beret of the elite Givati Brigade. He was carrying a Micro Tavor (MTAR-21) rifle and a blue and black backpack.

Gordon speaks Hebrew with a prominent Anglophone accent. He is 170 cm. tall with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact their hotline immediately at *100 or 08-927-9244.
