Police Arrest Armed Arab at Entrance to Cave of the Patriarchs

After being overpowered, a knife was found in his possession.

Israeli Border Policemen on Sunday morning arrested an armed Arab at the entrance to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron after he assaulted one of the troops.

He refused to go through the security check at the entrance to the holy site and attacked one of the troops manning the checkpoint.

After being overpowered, he was found to be armed with a knife.

No casualties were reported.

The Cave of the Patriarchs has been the site of multiple acts of terror and attempted attacks.
