Instead of celebrating his goal, Israeli soccer pro Shon Weissman honored the 45 victims of the Meron tragedy.

The Meron tragedy last week on the Jewish holiday of Lag b’Omer, which claimed the lives of 45 people and seriously injured many others, has impacted Israelis and Jews around the world.

Israeli soccer player Shon Weissman, who plays for the Spanish team Real Valladolid, recently offered a touching tribute to the victims.

Instead of celebrating a goal, he made the number 45 with his hands and a prayer gesture in memory of the victims.

Powerful!
