A vast majority of Israelis — around 85% (93% of men and 77% of women) — feel safe walking around their neighborhoods alone at night, according to new data published by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on Tuesday.

Among Israel’s largest cities, Rishon LeZion was where residents ranked their sense of personal security the highest.

During 2016, one in 10 Israelis was a victim of a crime, the CBS report showed. The most common crime was theft (4.4%), followed by online harm (3.8%), violence or a threat of violence (3.1%) and sexual harassment (2.3%).
