The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, which publishes the journal, canceled the issue over federal and state funding concerns. In response, the journal's entire editorial board resigned.

The letter has been signed by professors from several prominent universities, including Yale University, Columbia University, University of Maryland, Stanford University, and Northwestern University.
