The Ketmit Ariel butterfly is found in Israel, parts of the Middle East, as well as Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Painted lady butterflies are currently making a stop in northern Israel, after arriving from the Arabian Peninsula on their way to Europe.
