Zamir toured several departments and spoke with the wounded soldiers and their families about their injuries, treatment and rehabilitation.

'The IDF is capable, prepared and vigilant in defending the State of Israel, and is ready to act quickly and strike with force,' Zamir said.

Against the backdrop of tensions in Judea and Samaria, Zamir ordered an additional regular division headquarters to raise its readiness to reinforce forces in the area.

'Anyone who took part in the massacre will live as a hunted man until he is eliminated,' Zamir warned.
