Milei and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally signed the Isaac Accords, a new framework aimed at deepening ties between Israel and Latin American governments.

Milei has broken with decades of Argentinian foreign policy and changed Latin American history since entering office in December 2023 by becoming one of Israel’s strongest supporters in the world.

Herzog is also expected to meet members of the local Jewish community, estimated at 10,000–15,000 people.

Latin America has long been regarded as a hub for Iran-backed Hezbollah’s illicit drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro spoke at the International Conference on Combating Antisemitism, vowing to join the Isaac Accords—a coalition of pro-Israel countries in Latin America, including Javier Milei’s Argentina.

In 2026, the Isaac Accords plans to expand to Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and possibly El Salvador, according to the organizers, the American Friends of the Isaac Accords.
