During the operation, the Israeli Air Force carried out precision strikes against several military targets in the area to eliminate threats to the forces on the ground.

'We see every launch as an act of war in every sense,' Katz said.

'Erdogan is dragging Turkey into dangerous adventures in Syria,' Katz wrote on X.

The Defense Ministry described Honduras as an important Israeli partner in Central America, noting its longstanding support for Israel in the international arena.

'The IDF is here to stay in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza to protect the entire State of Israel,' Katz said.

Israeli security officials have reportedly warned that the region could be approaching a broader Palestinian uprising resembling the First Intifada.

'We very much want to strike Iran's energy targets,' Katz said. 'The United States is not approving it at the moment.'

The announcement followed Friday’s attack near Havat Gilad, in which two Israelis were killed.
