The first kosher dietary prohibition was made long before the Torah was received.
It's the character traits and pursuits that are important, not what pays the bills.
Parents must take an interest in each child, learning their unique traits in order to maximize their potential and help them grow up to become God-fearing adults.
Sibling rivalry, the antagonism or hostility among siblings, may very well be one of humanity's oldest problems. I call it the "Am I my brother's keeper?" syndrome.
