Hundreds of Kurds fleeing villages held by the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization in northern Syria amid a wave of mass abductions have been shot at, with several killed or wounded, opposition activists and a Kurdish official said Saturday.
Over the past year, ISIS has slaughtered thousands, including 91 in the past month. Some were ISIS terrorists caught in an attempt to return to their home countries.
As the US marks a year since its first airstrikes against ISIS, the Islamic terror group advanced towards a Syrian town, causing hundreds of Christians to flee.
An ISIS video showed a boy beheading a Syrian soldier under an adult terrorist's supervision. Another showed 25 children unflinchingly shooting 25 captured Syrians.
The Islamic State has slaughtered some 2,000 people since it ascended to power six months ago with the establishment of an Islamic caliphate in Syria and Iraq.
