On June 21, 1936, approximately 60 armed Arabs in British Mandate Palestine attacked a convoy of Jewish-owned buses traveling from Haifa to Tel Aviv. The modern State of Israel had not yet come into existence, so what were the Arabs fighting against?

In subsequent fighting between the Arab terrorists and British troops, Sergeant Henry Sills of the Seaforth Highlanders was killed, and three Royal Scottish Fusiliers privates were injured.

In archived media reports, there is no reference to “Palestinians,” only Arabs.

It is also particularly noteworthy that Arabs committed terror attacks not only before Israel liberated Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria in the 1967 Six Day War, but also in the decades preceding the partition of Palestine and the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.
