Trump assailed the UN for its focus on Israel, while it ignores the world’s real troubles.
President-elect Donald Trump said Israel is being treated “very, very unfairly” by the United Nations, which is obsessed with Israel while countries that are “horrible places” never get reprimanded.
Trump says Israel is “up for 20 reprimands” at the United Nations, whereas nations that are “horrible places, that treat people horribly, haven’t even been reprimanded.”
In 2016 there were more resolutions regarding Israel than there were regarding Syria, North Korea, Iran, South Sudan, and Russia combined.
Trump’s comments follow a decision last week by the United Nations’ Security Council (UNSC) condemning Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria and stating it was “illegal.”
Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday that Israel should “stay strong,” saying January 20, inauguration day, “is fast approaching!”
Israel looks forward to that day, in which the Obama administration, which has become outrightly hostile towards the Jewish State, will leave and be replaced by the Trump administration, which is believed much favorable towards Israel.
