The World Jewish Congress celebrated World Photography Day by releasing a video featuring 10 iconic snapshots of moments in Jewish history.

For 4,000 years, major Jewish events were recorded in text and drawings until, finally, there came a better way.

With the advent of photography in the early 19th century, it became easier to capture iconic moments, provided a camera was ready.
