Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna, bashed the anti-Semitic BDS movement, also noting the friendly ties between Catholics and Jews in Austria.

Schönborn, who is considered second-in-line to Pope Francis, told Arutz-7 in an interview that the Catholic Church is opposed to the prevalent European hostility towards the Jewish state and will stand up to the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) activists.

According to Schönborn, the attacks on Israel by the BDS movement are not only false, but also stupid.
