The brave performer, who was inspired by Israeli music, isn’t letting anyone stop her from living the life she wants. 

Kuwaiti singer and actress Ibtisam Hamid, better known as Basma al-Kuwaiti, caused an uproar in the Arab world after she posted a video on her social networks announcing that she converted to Judaism.

She even has received death threats.

But Hamid isn’t letting hate stop her from doing what she wants. In an interview, she discusses how her conversion to Judaism was inspired by Israeli music and sends a message to her detractors.
