The media needs to raise awareness that a child who murders Israelis is not a hero, but a victim of glorification of terror in Palestinian society, says a Jerusalem human rights activist.
Palestinian terrorists and cousins Muawiyah Alqam, 14, and Ali Alqam, 11, stabbed and wounded an Israeli security guard at a Jerusalem light rail stop in Jerusalem on Nov. 10, 2015.
The security guard shot and wounded Muawiyah while Ali was held by train passengers until security forces arrived.
In July 2016 Muawiyah was sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison. Ali Alqam was given a year in juvenile detention due to his young age.
These boys were deprived of a normal childhood. Who is to blame?
