Iranian protests have quickly morphed into attacks on Iranian involvement in the Middle East, and even on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with some calling for the late Shah’s son to take power.

The greatest existential threat to Israel today is the Hezbollah terror organization and its 150,000 missiles pointed at the Jewish state from just across the Lebanese border with Israel.

Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, admitted its weakness, explaining, “We are open about the fact that Hezbollah’s budget, its income, its expenses, everything it eats and drinks, its weapons and rockets, come from the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

It seems some Iranians are fed up with footing this bill, a fact highlighted in the protests spreading across Iran.

Protestors are even calling for the return to power of the family of the Shah, the last ruler of Iran before the “revolution” that gave rise to the current Islamic fundamentalist regime. Under the Shah’s leadership, Iran was unabashedly pro-West and pro-Israel.

Hezbollah’s funding would be specifically at risk if Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, eldest son and heir apparent of the last Shah of Iran, were to take the reigns.
