Ted Cruz says it’s entirely possible that an avowed socialist with an anti-Israel record will be elected president in 2020, but hopes it won’t happen.

Discussing the importance of bipartisan support for the State of Israel at the 2019 AIPAC conference, Republican Senator Ted Cruz laments the fact that America is now “deeply divided.

Cruz, who strongly supports President Donald Trump’s recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, says it’s sad that Democratic presidential hopefuls are not present at the AIPAC event.

Noting the profound swing to the left in the Democratic party and a willingness to tolerate anti-Semitism, he says it is entirely possible that an avowed socialist with an anti-Israel record will be elected president in 2020, but hopes it won’t happen.
