Shalev Best, a police officer wounded on Oct. 7th was finally discharged from the hospital after 4 months making him the last victim of the horrific massacre to be released.

Shalev and three other police officers defended the kibbutz of Ofakim against 40 terrorists. All four officers were later wounded, and hope for a rescue was slipping away.

Then, three IDF soldiers also residents of the community brought the injured officers to the hospital, saving their lives. The tearful reunion of the officer and soldiers was a sight to behold.
