WATCH: Five Girls from Ancient Chinese Jewish Community Return to Israel

Five young women from the ancient Chinese Jewish community of Kaifeng arrived in Israel yesterday.

They’re fulfilling their dream of making Aliyah, with the help of Jerusalem-based nonprofit Shavei Israel.

The women — Gao Yichen (“Weiwei”), Yue Ting, Li Jing, Li Yuan, and Li Chengjin (“Lulu”) have been studying Hebrew and Judaism for the past few years.

Many view the return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel as the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.
