French authorities, acting on Israeli intelligence, accused Iranian state security of orchestrating the foiled plot to bomb a meeting of thousands of Iranian ex-pats at a Paris event.

According to French diplomatic sources, France has accused the security apparatus of Iran of plotting to bomb a meeting of the People’s Mujahedeen of Iran, a group of Iranian ex-patriots opposed to the Iranian regime, outside of Paris.

The French are acting on the warnings of Israeli intelligence, whose Mossad agents foiled the Iranian plot.

The accusation comes at a time when France is struggling to maintain what is left of the Iranian Nuclear Agreement, after the United States unilaterally withdrew from the controversial deal.
