Roi Assaraf’s whole life revolved around parties and having fun. He constantly went to festivals and danced the night away, but deep down Roi knew there was something more to be had in life than just partying.

He arrived at the Supernova festival on that fateful Oct. 7th at six in the morning, where the sounds of missile interceptions broke up the music and dancing. Then, he immediately decided it was time to leave, but his wife insisted on retrieving her jacket.

That decision might’ve saved their lives when instead of having to circle the entire campsite, they were able to cut through and avoid the mass of terrorists murdering everyone they saw. Still, upon leaving, a dozen terrorists fired at their car, miraculously hitting no one.

They returned to Jerusalem, where they vowed to start keeping Shabbat and for his wife to cover her hair in honor of the great miracle done for them.
