Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander, president and Rosh Yeshiva of the Ohr Torah Stone network, expresses his sorrow over the murder of a student who exemplified the institutions’ values and served in the IDF.
Dvir Sorek, a devoted IDF soldier and exemplary yeshiva student, was found murdered near Hebron.
Sorek was an IDF soldier who participated in the hesder program, which combines military service with Torah study. He was found stabbed to death just feet away from his yeshiva in the Judea and Samaria region in what was likely a Palestinian terror attack. The IDF is investigating.
