When Israel was first created, nearly 1 million Jews were expelled from Arab countries.

While Jews frequently return to their homeland today, it wasn’t always so simple.

Many Jews risked their lives to come to Israel and some were able to come through the clandestine operations. When Israel was first created, nearly 1 million Jews were expelled from Arab countries.

Thanks to the support of JNF-US, two exhibits in Atlit, where the Atlit Detention Camp once stood, tell the story of these refugees and how they were rescued when they had nowhere else to go.
